I'm no expert, but the information I was told by several site sponsors is that Glocks are now being produced in the USA.
Some people note a difference in slide finish but I can't tell much difference.
Apparently Gaston Glock, being the perfectionist that he is, had specific conditions that had to be met in the USA facility to match the Austrian production facility.
That was information given to me by a Glock armorer when asking the same question you did.
if that was the case would they not all say USA on them?
by making them in the US and stamping them Austria i would think would get them in trouble, kinda faulty advertising and such.
and why would be the my first question?
why stamp the same gun with 2 different countries of manufacture if you produce them all in one.
im gonna call bull on that.

Ones stamped Austria are made in Austria and oned stamped USA are made in the USA...
I'm just saying that from now on all Glocks that anyone wants to purchase will now be made in the US
You might be able to find Austrian made ones still floating around that haven't been sold yet, but from now on no Austrian Glocks will be available anymore.
I wanted an Austrian Glock back in November, so I called/emailed every CGN sponsor (Yes.. all of them) that had a Glock 17 in stock if they had any Austrian made. They all gave me the same answer and some sponsors elaborated that they won't be getting any more Austrian stamped Glocks from now on.
I even contacted IRG who had some Austrian Glock 17 and 19 MOS models in FDE (didn't want MOS slide cuts or FDE) and asked if they had plain black Austrian stamped G17's in stock in their Canadian facility and they said no, and if I were to import from their American site, it too would be stamped USA.
Call BS if you like but ask any site sponsor about getting an Austrian made Glock from now on and they'll likely gave you the same answer they gave me.

I would not take the time to get a Austrian one unless you just like a new one to add to a collector base .. I see no functional advantage
I bought an Austrian made Glock 17 from IRG in December.
The one I got they would have had in November. Its one of the Vickers rtf2 framed guns.
Ah gotcha, I'm mainly speaking about gen4.
