First off...it's all Sparrow's fault. :p And Jaycee too.:p I will also blame Juliet Lima when I think of something. :p After all the blather about the superiority of the Aimpoint by the various shameless Aimpoint shills on CGN, I decided to try out my Aimpoint clone, just to see what all the girlish excitement was all about. When I went to remove my EOTech by removing the LaRue Tactical LT110 mount, I managed to BREAK THE FRIGGIN LATCH. :runaway: I contacted LaRue directly on tuesday, Sep 5th, and a brand new mount arrived today, thursday Sep 7th by UPS!! :dancingbanana: :D . All they asked for was for me to ship the old mount back. It didn't cost me a cent for either the replacement mount or the shipping. Not even any UPS "brokerage fees".
Now THAT'S service, my friends. ;)

Cool, I just binned my Aimpoint for an Eotech, I was just trying to get the market price down with my posts :D . Actually I have sold my XD 3MOA Aimpoint which I loved in favor of a carry handle with same plane rear and XS tritium dot front.

How did you break it?

A moment of muscle-brained stupidity (and I told LaRue that ;) )....I pulled the latch outward without pulling it backward first to disengage the locking channel... . The actual locking channel has quite thin walls and (being made of aluminum) will break easily.
I will be forever grateful to LaRue Tactical for their trusting generosity.

does this mean you'll be heading to custer saturday to try it out?

Yepper!:D I'll be down in Burlington from tomorrow afternoon for the weekend, so I'll be coming north to shoot at Custer. It'll be interesting to see if my EOTech is still zeroed after changing mounts.

My next AR will be a very simple affair: a basic M4gery with a 14 1/2" barrel with carry handle and fixed front sight. ;)

It musta been all those Eotech cooties that rubbed off on the mount.... :)

But seriously, just goes to show why Larue is so well thought of in the industry - that is typical Larue service.

Heh heh...I did try my Aimpoint clone on monday vs my EOTech. I'll post a rather unscientific range report later on. :D

Indeed...I offered to purchase a replacement latch assembly, but the sales rep (Mike Early) said it would be easier if I just returned the complete mount (no rush, he said) and he'd send me a new one. To send it by Courier (UPS) in 2 days at no charge to me is extraordinarily great service. All this with ZERO proof provided from me that I even owned a mount!

do you mind telling me how much is cost shipping included. Also, can you co-witness iron sights still, even though it is raised up?

Yes, the front sight just sits on the lower third of the EOTech window instead of the middle. I have it setup on my Bushmaster...on sale in the exchange forum btw. :D
