I am so sorry to hear of Bills passing - when I talked to him a couple weeks or so ago, he talked of little gunsmithing projects and reloading that he'd done and little life lessons. He talked of having done dumb young-guy things and then maturing and then of his young fellow and his love for him - like he has on other occasions - also about partridge hunting with him and other fun - and then He said that the only really important thing in his life is his son - he said that nothing else matters - and then about hopes for the future. Now I sit down here to learn that he is gone. Bill and his sister were cute little kids when we first met the family - was that maybe thirty years ago now? Becky was good at writing stories as a child in school - I remember Ben - their Dad, telling how they just flowed out of her with seemingly little effort - but not so with Bill. Bill grew to be a common-sense sort of fellow - not a complainer - I heard about medical issues from someone else a long while back, but not from him. He was one that we might assume would always survive - would make it through somehow - but now he is gone. Here on this site, we knew him as a very respectful sort of fellow - that was no pretense. I sit here quietly trying to remember other things that he has spoken of, because it just seems right to listen carefully when a strong man says soft words - they are like tears - they don't break through the crust easily. Pray for his boy - and for your own children. I am glad to have known him a little and I am sad for the family at your loss. May you find rest in love.
