Hey Guys,
There is a farm auction for a local rancher/outfitter that is selling a bunch of equiptment, tack, and firearms. I've looked over the list but dont know much about the value of the firearms listed. I'd be interested in a few, have to check the condition, etc of them but I'm curious if there are any that I should be watching closer than others, and maybe some that would be worth more (assuming condition is decent). Anything look really interesting??

Any comments/price estimates appreciated....

Rack, for me it would be the Marlin for $300.00 or less, the John Wayne for 600.00 or less but it will likely go for a grand. The two older Winchesters are very collectable as long as they haven't been refinnished in any way and the Montana gun is fairly rare, good approximate values for collections like this I look at prices on guns america . com FS

Here are my pics and one's that I would take a serious look at.
And the top price I would pay

• Winchester Model 1905 32 Sp (Id have to get a look at this one)

• Winchester #1892 44 WCF Hex
barrel lever action ( in original vg condition I'd pay $900)

• Model 94 38-55 cal Alberta
Diamond Jubilee (if the box is in exc condition Id pay $750)

• Model 44-40 cal Cheyenne carbine ($650)

• Model 32-40 cal John Wayne (an easy $1000 up to $2000 if it is a "Duke" but I will bet it's just a JW commemorative)
carbine

• Model 94 38-55 cal Sask Jubilee ($800)

• Model 9422 XTR 22 cal Montana ($750)
Centenial #227 (1884-1989)

Just my thoughts. Id love to attend the auction. And Id buy coffee and burger too...

A Hex barrel would be rare.I have never seen one on a 92:rolleyes:
Maybe an Octagon. In other words your about 2 flats short of a full barrel:p

I figured it was octagon. Most guys can't count past six anyways. I know what rackmastr meant. it will be octagon for sure.....lol....good one:p

I'd look at the 1865 .45-70, the 1905 Win-94 in .32 Spcl and the Ruger Blackhawk .44 Mag... but that's just my interests. I really have no idea of their value.

The .32 Spcl sounds almost exactly like the rifle my Grandfather had; if it's a saddle ring carbine, it is exact.

whos sale anyways? most auctioners wont sell guns anymore

True, guns are a PIA for auctioneers, but there are lots still selling them. Some good deals out there too, particularly sales with only one or two guns, or poorly advertized sales.

Wish I had the $ to attend this sale, too many interesting guns though IMO prices will not be cheap.

Well....really stormy today.....I'm hoping the auction hasnt got enough attention and its far enough off the trail that not a PILE of gun nuts will show up....lol. Should be interesting either way...will let ya know how it goes later on.....chances are I wont get lucky but ya never know...
