There's always the 257stw for an option with a fast twist barrel. Not sure it'll fit in your 700 la though

The 700 has a long magazine and handles the long ones pretty well.

The one I had years ago was a single shot an off memory couldn't recall the mag length of the 700 long action

They're all the same. The long actions accommodate everything from the 25-06 to the 375 RUM. STW's fit fine. - dan
