Just a little poll to see who likes what style of modern pump actions.

The only 2 I can really think of are the rotating bolt and the locking block type (I don't know the actual technical term). What say ye?

I still have my set of four 870 skeet guns from the 60's. The amount of shells that have been put through those they will almost cycle themselves.
I have BPS, Ithaca etc and other wingmasters but none are as smooth as this skeet set:)

I've used a 1200/1300 and 870 quite a bit. The Winchesters are far superior in every way, especially the speed of cycling the action.

I guess you are intitlted to your opinion. But the 1200's I have owned were junk.

Anyone wonder why a used Model 12 will fetch as much as a new 870? Because they're that much better.

I have 2 870s in the safe and I still know that thte Model 12 is better.

Well, since you asked:

My 1300 is better balanced, has never jammed, fits better, has a better finish, cycles better and faster and is lighter.

My 870 was a fencepost that didn't fit me, had a horrible matte finish (for a similar price as a blued 1300), jammed constantly and was much slower to cycle. Of course, this was a "new" production 870 and I understand that the quality at Remington has gone to hell. I could see potential in an older model.
