Father accidentally shoots son on Saskatchewan hunting trip

Are you on drugs?? You honestly believe that 2 yrs in prison will make ANY difference to this man who has killed his son??? Will ANY number of years bring him solace? His son was 36yrs old. Presumably had a wife and children. How do you tell THEM and still live with it?? I am generally acknowledged to be a cold-hearted bastard, but even I can imagine this situation and it breaks my heart.
 
Sad indeed, for anyne here to say jail time, no such thing as accident, totally unavoidable. IMO without the facts who the hell are you to pass judgement. Accidents are not always avoidable, unless of coarse you sit at home and do nothing with your life, than you will avoid accidents and life itself. I'd rather go out doing something I love, than lay in a bed wasting away for weeks on end.

How about keeping your rifle pointed in a safe direction at all times until you're ready to pull the trigger?
 
that father would probably change places with his son if he could. i don't think jail time is going to make the family feel any better. as the details haven't been released we have to assume it was an accident and that poor man will live with this for the rest of his life.
