My wife surprised me with this little beauty for Father's Day, and the transfer finally came through yesterday ^.^ we made a trip after work and picked this up from Cabela's in Ottawa. So far, extremely happy with this gift, and extremely impressed and thankful to my wife for getting this for me. Sneaky minx that she is ;)

Only negative that I can see is that the boys behind the counter at Cabela's forgot to put my two backstraps back in the box. Didn't notice this until we got back home... 1.5 hour drive >< so, I shall call them tomorrow and see where we go from there. Didn't take too many pics, and need to pick up a few rounds and get a range day going... But super eager to get this pretty girl out and see how she runs ^.^

And now for your perving pleasure... Gun pR0n :D unfortunately to follow as Photobucket has changed how they're doing things now and I need to find another hosting site -.- any suggestions?

Very nice! I didn't know they were out yet! how are your first impressions?

Those guns are so much nicer looking in person than the giant serrations looked in the first pictures. The one I handled felt good too, congrats!

Remember that nice guy that Express shipped your lower to you? Yeah, you should let him shoot it.

Ah ha ha ha! You make your way up here, I've got crash space, BBQ and some beers/whiskey and a few of us are trying to arrange a range day to trial our toys together ;) more than welcome to join ^.^b

HUGE thanks go to Master-G for posting the pics for me. Cuz Photobucket has gone the way of "Simple Jack" and has lost my my support in every way, shape and form -.- checking out other photo hosting site places now.

UPDATE

Called Cabela's in Ottawa about the missing backstraps, and the helpful lady behind the gun counter read me a notice that was handed down from corporate, stating that the Beretta APX pistol was only sold with ONE backstrap, not three. I argued that every review I've seen online, in magazines and even on the Beretta Website claimed that the pistol comes with a small, medium and large backstrap, and that feature was one of the main features as to why I showed interest in it (besides it being a Beretta and the awesome aesthetics of the slide. Love those aggressive serrations). She gave me Stoeger Canada's contact information and I called and left a voicemail expressing my concern and stance, and hopefully await a reply call on Monday. I will keep updates coming on here.

So, be fore warned everyone whom wants to purchase a Beretta APX, check to make sure it physically comes with the backstraps. Caveat Emptor -.-

I bought one Jul5th and waiting for transfer as well, I asked the same question and was told same thing. It's too bad I have to go on the hunt for back straps but it does fit amazing with the one on the gun currently wears . I am not too concerned but I will prb call Stoeger as well and see about different sizes.

It does feel pretty dang good in the hand as is, also wish spare mags were a little more readily available >< but it's more the principle of the matter eh? Why does everyone else get the three back straps and we don't, even when it's advertised on the Beretta website that they come with the pistol. Could just be me though, we'll see

Got a call back today from Stoeger Canada, and they told me that they were only being imported in with just the one back strap to cut down on costs, but that the back straps themselves should be coming in within the next few months and have a suggested MSRP of $29.99 each, and extra mags should be coming in as well... So, thinking I just need to chalk that up to experience and ask more questions instead of assuming and buy some 9mm and some 223/556 and hit the range for some hands on experience ^.^

CJR I actually agree with you fully, and seeing as pretty much ALL the literature and everything says that they come with the three back straps, except the Beretta catalogue on the Stoeger Canada website. It says there that:

"Ergonomic and modular backstrap.
Thanks to the new modular system, the
pistol adapts to different hand sizes with
interchangeable back-straps of different
thickness and configurations for individualized
performance."

But nothing about them being included. https://www.stoegercanada.ca/Uploads/Catalogues/Beretta Firearm Canada 2017 Catalogue.pdf

The Stoeger Canada Beretta Defense Technologies page catalogue says:

"Interchangeable backstraps
are included in three different sizes.
Allows shooter personalization."

But that's the Beretta Defense Technologies page, and those products are not (usually) available for the civilian market. https://www.stoegercanada.ca/Uploads/Catalogues/APX Brochure EU_EN_lres.pdf

So, I can see how it is getting very confusing, with everything put out there as such, BUT, from a legal and liability stand point (with my limited and layperson knowledge as such) it seems that they've advertised correctly as they've said. So, as much as a kick in the shin as it is, just have to "Love it or List it" and I'm decided to attempt to love it, and then buy her some pretty dresses if need be ;) Hopefully the wife doesn't get too jealous LOL

More like "imported with "one" backstrap so we can sell the others separately and massively increase our profit."
