Fave 303 Brit Load?

For Hunting loads (not the 174gr sierra match king)
As I recall 43gr IMR 4350 and a SPEER .311" 180gr RN
I'd double check that load in your reloading manuals because I'm going by memory. If you can slug your barrel and find it's a little over-sized (ie: .313" to .314") you may want to consider going with the Hornady .312" 180gr RN or run cast bullets sized to suit (this is a different powder load though).

I'd start 10% under and work your way up.
Watch for signs of pressure as you work up.

Regardless the magic number is 180gr is around 2440 feet per second +/- if you have access to a chronograph.

I've found 46 grains of IMR 4320 with a Hornady 150 to be superb in a P-14. I back it down a bit for an SMLE action and it is still awesome. If the rifle is up to it, this combination can give solid (and consistent 1 m.o.a. results).

For 174s to 180s, I've found 42 grains of IMR 4320 to be pretty good, but it may be a bit hot for some weaker actions.
