Favorite .22

Whatever...that was just one day at the range awhile ago...I don't even own that scope anymore...I have a lot of different scopes and ring combinations for this old .22, including an original Sako receiver peep sight (to fit the non-tapering .22 dovetail...different from the peep sights used on the their centerfire rifles but with same 100/200 yard quick change feature of the eyepiece.) Right now its wearing a big Swarovski 3-12x50. So I can see the bullet holes while I make them.

also...I'd like to see photos of these favorite .22s, not just a description. Words don't really do it.

I can't add pics right now as I am on vacation.

One of my favourites is my francotte martini made in Belgium and retailed by j vennables and sons in England.I t has a 26 in ovate barrel with a full length matted rib with express sights. This gun is a joy to carry as it has a perfect balance to it.A couple of my other favourites are my 1418 Anschutz mannlicher and my krico mannlicher with double set triggers

Rob.... that's a beautiful rifle..... and glad to hear that scope is no longer on it.... :)

I am partial to my Rugers.. top is an M77 RSI, and bottom is a Lipsey's special edition single six convertible.....

Looks much better with the peep, but a gloss, small objective Leupold would look great also... something with a 28mm or 33mm objective mounted low, would match the sleek ergonomics.

My current favourites are a fun hunting pair... seen pictured below, but my all time favourites are a pair of 94/22's in LR and Mag.... these don't get out much anymore due to my aging eyesight and a disinclination to scope a Model 94.

Yup... beautiful wood on this rifle and it is crazy accurate with CCI SV's... in response to a WTB ad, a kindly fellow CGNer tipped me off that it had been traded in at a local gunshop... I jumped on it tout de suite.

The current favorite is my Evil Roy in 22lr.

I think I'm gonna give er' a go for the Rimfire challenge with just irons..... it's that sweet of a shooter.

I like all these. I had a BSA martini .22 a few decades back that was probably the most accurate .22 rifle I ever owned. How about pictures of the Anschutz and the Krico?

I have a few .22's but for some reason this old Cooey gets the most action.

It was given to me by my fathers friend, all rusty, beat up wood, and inoperable. I fixed it, painted the stock, drilled/tapped the receiver, bedded and mounted a modified savage rail, threw on an old 3x9 that I had lying around, and wouldn't you know it that it's a damn tack driver!

It's the one in the foreground:

I have a 1990 ish marlin model 880 I think. Bolt action walnut stock, 7 round magazine, etc with a ducks unlimited badge in the stock that I've had since I was a kid. Very accurate .22 and a never sell rifle.

I have 2 10-22's, one walnut/blued and one butler creek side folder/stainless, a Cooey model 60 handed down, a Remington nylon 66, 2 Chiappa little badgers (lr and mag) and a stainless heavy barrel thumbhole 17 hmr... still like that marlin.

My top three!
Remington 582 that was my Dad's

Mossberg 46B (a) that was my grandfather's

Dlask receiver, Timney trigger, not sure who made the barrel, in a Titan stock. That I put together a couple of years ago.
