Favorite dog hunting optics?

Waiting for delivery for my Nikon ProStaff 5, 2.5-10. I was in the same boat, trying to get a yote gun up and running. Not sure how much use it will get, so I didn't want to put a lot into it. Definitely a different level than a lot of the recommendations here, but still gets decent reviews. Going on a Rem700 in .223

Bushnell LRHS 3-12 on my Tikka 223. Like the 3x if anything is close and 12x is plenty if I crank it up.
Nightforce NXS 5.5-22x56 on my 6XC if I know i won’t be walking far from the truck :)

I think a Sightron S TAC 4.5 - 20 x 50 with Side parallax adjustment,
or a Bushnell Elite 6500 2.5 - 16 x 50 with Side parallax adjustment would fill the bill nicely for you.

Thank you for all the very good options. I am putting it on a CZ 527 Varmint. I decided to go with a Vortex diamondback HP 4-12x40, for now. So many nice rigs on here! Haha.

And for up close Aimpoint PRO on my Derya MK-12 (12ga)

Sweet shotgun!

I have a 3-9x40 VX-2 on my LTR 223 in an MDT LSS. I tried hunting with a Zeiss 4.5-14x44 and it's just more glass than I need for the max 300 yards I'd be shooting.

Alot of people like alot of different ways of doing things, but I think an ideal mag would be in the 4-16 range because its covers early season close range and later season longer ranges all in one.

I myself like a bit more mag because I sometimes have to thread the needle by shooting through some bush and it helps when they are further out there too. My main rifle has a 5-20 on it.

EDIT: I also forgot to add, it all depends on the type of terrain youll be mostly huntin in too. :)
