Favorite Duck Call

Buck Gardner makes some awesome calls in that price range or less. I have the Spitfire Sorta Single, Fowl Mouth 2 and Double Nasty. Picked them up on sale or as throw ins at events. They all will kill ducks and I have read the company is top notch as well.

I also really like the original Yentzen from Sureshot calls, inexpensive and very ducky.

I've been impressed by Valley Calls, their website seems to need updating but Facebook as much as I dislike it can be used to reach them. Nice bonus of it being a Canadian outfit. It helps that I know personally some of the guys involved.

There is also Capital Waterfowl, also Canadian, but I will not be purchasing from them anytime soon. When I asked one of their prostaff a question about tuning and the intended pitch of a call they manufacture they were very rude.

I asked this same sort of question awhile back. I followed the advice of some wise CGNers and picked up a few Buck Gardner calls and rhey are great. I also have a Recall Designs Archy that sounds awesome and I really like it.
Goodluck

I have a fairly big collection of calls. Some good and some not so good. The one that I enjoy using the most is the Duck Commander 1972 Wood Series. Its a very easy call to use and it has very nice sounds. Of all the calls I have, this call is the easiest to replicate a feed call. I usually hunt with about 6 calls on my lanyard and this call is usually the one I grab first when I see birds in the air

This sounds oddly familiar although after some a$$hat(s) helped themselves to a few items in my car consisting of a blaze orange ball cap and a lanyard of calls from my car it is reduced. I suspect it was just a foolish young person cause they left the $40 cash in the cupholders and fishing gear in the back seat.
While I still stand by my recommendation for Valley Calls earlier I can not deny the effectiveness and ease of use of my Duck Commander calls. I also received a very old Olt call that I was instructed not to retire and won't because it sounds so real. I have to concede that they are great calls for the money and while maybe not as likely to win a competition or produce the unbelievably loud hail calls that so many guys newer to the sport are wanting to use they are just great meat calls that with a little skill and practice will help fool waterfowl.

Check out muddy fowler . He's a local guy and they are made in canada. Amazing product and service.pm me if you want some pics or check out the Web site
