Been loading rifle for some time now, but just starting to load for my handgun.
Need some advice on powder for reloading.
What are your favorites? I'm hopefully looking to find something that is in the "varget" type. That is, not affected to much by heat and humidity.

Thanks guys.

HS6 works well because it meters high on my Lee Auto Disk. That being said I have had good success with 124Gr at 6.4Gr HS-6 for about 1150FPS. WIN231 and TG also work very well.

Power Pistol is the best esp. for high velocity loads (reduce the charge and you get a powder puff) :) ....in 9mm I've also tied HS-6, Titegroup, Blue Dot, Herco, vv N350, SR 4756 and maybe some others I'm forgetting.

9mm powder

I have had no problems using 231 in 9mm for many years, I find it feeds well in Lee auto disc and even in our extreme Alberta clime I have never had a misfire using it and it,s also good for most other rounds up to .44 mag, lots of my shooting pals have switched in recent years, good luck---Ron.

I have been using Bullseye for many years and it works fine as well, very similar to Win 231. It may not be the flavour of the week but it is still pretty good, plus I got two 8lb kegs for $10 a pound. I am now down to about 4 lbs left in the last keg, that is a few rounds loaded.

I used to use Bullseye but got away from it because it was too dirty, and the chance of a double charge was too great.

I still use it in my .45, but that will change soon.
