Favorite handgun powder - 9mm

I used to use Bullseye but got away from it because it was too dirty, and the chance of a double charge was too great.

I still use it in my .45, but that will change soon.

Actually I was reloading 124 gr 9mm's last week and I double charged one on purpose to see how full the case would be and it filled the case right to the top, pretty easy to notice. I will probably try some newer powder once this is gone but I am too cheap (a true reloader) to just quit using it. :D

Thanks for the input folks, I think my "first" powder will be the HS6. Will try it, and then try some of the others mentioned here. Thanks for the replies.

One question, is HS6 impervious to heat and humidty??

Tried 231/bullseye to load 9mm in my SIG 226ST... max loads wouldnt cycle it.
Tryed titegroup and it cycles just fine...guess its cuz of the heavy slide according to the guys on anther forum.

9mm powder choices

I have been using Bullseye for many years and it works fine as well, very similar to Win 231. It may not be the flavour of the week but it is still pretty good, plus I got two 8lb kegs for $10 a pound. I am now down to about 4 lbs left in the last keg, that is a few rounds loaded.

231 feeds better thru a powder measure, but at $10/lb I'd probably be using Bullseye too. Bullseye is my choice for target .38 Special.

That's odd. A moderate charge of 231 cycles my Sig P220 9mm just fine.

I used reduced loads for the indoor range I used to shoot at with Bullseye in my 226 with no problems.
