favorite lever gun

However, my favorite is the Winchester Model 88 in .358win

That would be mine too if I had one! (Or someone willing to sell/trade me one:p ) but since I don't, then my favorite would be my Winchester 94 in 38-55 (made in 1895) that was my great-grandfather's.

Favourite lever gun, huh?
Well, I have to say my mate's S.W.Silver & Co. Martini Henry 577/450 trade sporter with chequered walnut stock, Alexander Henry forewood & horn forewood tip and butt plate.
Here's a pic:

And for those picky people, it does have a lever.:D
O.k., make me choose a repeater and it's this......the Wild West Guns Model 04 500 S&W lever action rifle.

Pointless for me but lots of fun.;)

50 Ex

Winchester's, I love the look of an 1886 and naturally no man should be without a 50-110, although I am without one. :(

Would love an 1893 Marlin, not sure how big they went but the bigger the merrier.

Used to have a post 64 30-30 but it just didn't do it for me.

Thanks fellow nuts!

I have the 50 EX but have never shot it. What can you tell me about the caliber?
Do you know anything about the 50-100-450?
Thanks

Don't know how I missed this one.

My favourite gun of course is the Browning BLR, I have one in every calibre except the elusive .222, but Billy the Kid will sell me his, some day.

But if I had to pick just one, it would be.........

My Win 1892 in 44-40, gun was made in 1896 and is in mint condition. This gun was given to me by my father and I still hunt with it.

My favourite is my BLR in .358 Winchester, and I suppose my '99's in .250 and .300 come next.

I like the chambering of my Win. 1895 in .303 British, but the rifle's long throw and lack of facility for the mounting of an optical sight knock it down the list.

Similarly, I don't like the PITA tube magazines of the '94 and 336. When Hunting, they are too time consuming to load and unload. In spite of this my Win '94 may find its way into the bush with me this fall, because I like the .356 chambering.

Love my pre-64 '94 because it's such a classic, and just fun to shoot...got a redone '95 in 30-40 Krag (1904 production) with a buttery smooth action that's also pretty special. Most of all though, I like the 99 Savages, especially the 250 and the 300. Picked up a brand new BLR in .308 about 10 years ago, thinking at the the time that I was truly in love...turned out it was just a brief infatuation though, as it just hasn't come anywhere close to being a favorite.

Well of the guns I own, the long slim barrel of my Sav 1899 38-55 just feels & shoots SOoo..nice:) it's deff my fav!
Like an earlier poster I do love my .33 wfc's to, although my Xtra Light T/D is just to valuable to carry & I just can't get quite so attached to the .33 rifle or .348 D/L 71:rolleyes:

One gun I don't have but would love & probably would soon become my fav would be a 86 Carbine ;) a .33 would be ideal but I guess I'd have to settle with the old 45-70:cool:

I'll have to settle with my Win86 ELW .45/70 until Bullcoon will send my .450 Alaskan M71 back! Performance is the same but the ELW is much lighter and easier to handle, kicks harder though.
