Favorite Milsurp Handgun

I think my favorite Revolver is my Webely Mk VI and my favorite pistol is a 1914 Canadian Contract Colt 1911.

The stuff in WW2 was just to dinky and didn't have the required stopping power.

Well, its BC Police surplus, mine is a S&W, N frame 38/44 Heavy Duty, with a 5 inch barrel.
Exactly what Elmer Keith and Phil Sharpe used in Idaho to practice fast double action shooting.

Just screams classic in looks....made in 1940, the ultimate in Art Deco!

Wow - this is wide open to interpretation: "Favourite Milsurp Handgun"; and "If you had to choose one milsurp revolver and one milsurp pistol".

My favourites are certainly not the most beautiful, the best shooters, or the most valuable:

Tokarev TT-33 - simple, rugged and reliable. Snappy and unique round.

Webley - I like big-bore revolvers :)

1895 Nagant???? I have one and love it, but there's no way it's my first choice - how did you ever come up with that???

Riflechair just asked to pick a milsurp revolver and pistol. Had he asked what 'effective' or 'realistic'revolver would you pick, I would have gone with a Model 1917 in 45 instead. I just used the loophole. :D

Plus its the only milsurp revolver I own right now, so I owe it some credit. How would you feel if you were in my collection and I didn't pick you? Pretty bad I imagine. :p

Got a Colt Officer's Model in .22. but I doubt that qualifies as Milsurp. Would like a Colt New Service in .45 Long Colt. Have a CZ75, want an Inglis Browning to go with it.
