Favorite reloading manual?

1) Nosler
2) Sierra
3) Hornady,
4) Speer,
5) Richard LEE

And I just ordered a more recent Nosler out of the states with two more complete reloading manuals.
I have the .30-06, .270, .280 and the next two are .300 WM, and .260 Remington.
 
I've only been reloading for about 6 months now so I am NO expert. I use "Lee's manual of modern loading 2nd edition" Its got the basics. A friend of mine uses the "Lyman 49th" and he loves it.
 
I wouldn't say I have a fave, I end up using the Nosler manual the most simply because I use their bullets about 80% of the time. Other than that, I use the powder manufacturers books, pamphlets and website more often than not.

If you are looking for a good starting manual, Lee, Lyman, or Speer will all do you good. Most any of them actually.
 
I have a couple dozen manuals. There are no "bad" ones. For your first manual it's hard to beat the Lyman 49th edition, if I could only have one reloading manal it would be the Lyman.

I use the Hodgdon Reloading Data website a lot - it is free and has a lot of good data for a wide variety of cartridges and bullets, one of the best sources of data out there, but it doesn't have a a lot of "how to" info, just load data.
 
I have 9 manuals and sometimes I think it would be better to just have one good one. They seldom duplicate the results with each other. Starting loads and max loads all seem to differ. The last one and also the cheapest is the Second Edition of Modern Reloading by Richard Lee. They have a lot of info there, where some others are pretty basic. I also like the Nosler manuals because they show the load density at least they do in the #3 that I have. I have used compressed loads in the past but I have always felt a bit uneasy about them so I like to find a powder that is close to 98-100% denisty. Another thing I like about the Nosler manual is they show what are the most accurate load that they had. I don't know if it is common or not but it was bang on for my 300 WinMag. Maybe just luck.
 
I've the Lyman 49th Edition and Hornady 8th. They suit my purposes just fine.

I just started into the hobby recently and have only reloaded about 1,000 rifle rounds, so I'm watching this thread closely for more ideas.
