Favorite rifle to carry that you own....

For an all day trek...I carried my trusty Winnie 94...easy to shoot ,light and as much gun as I would need for any game...of course depending on distance...but in the bush...nothing better..

Well since this thread found it's way back up :D
I should update my Favourite rifle to Carry...........
Same one but instead of wearing my 3-9x40 VXII (which has now found a permanent home on the 223;))
Now my 260 Ti wears a New Leo 3-9x33 Ultralight....
Total package is a hair under 6 lbs....it Really is now my Favourite "carry" rifle:rockOn:

This old post keeps popping back up

I know,....good thread ;) I'm glad that I've waited this long to finally speak up. I already have a Marlin 336XLR in 30WCF, but I knew that a .444 would soon join it, so I waited. And now either of these two guns are my favourite carry, the .444 first of course, then the 30WCF. I should state that the word "carry" is what qualifies these two.

PS: I think 30WCF is a lot cooler than turdy turdy.

My Ruger M77 RSM 416 Rigby. Pleasant to shoot, not bad to carry and more accurate than a heavy has any reason to be. And took all 6 of my African animals with it. How can't you love it?

It is my Remington model 700 mountain rifle in 30-06(when I can get it from my son)
Gord.

Same goes for me Gord, i have the same rifle and it is the nicest to carry.

A few years ago i discovered the Safari sling and use it on my heavy rifles.it takes the weight off your arms and puts it across your shoulders which leaves your arms free to glass

Marlin 1895ss 45-70 , wears a williams WGRS peep sight , Very accurate and carries nice, got a new to me marlin 1897T in 22, Just might take the place of my 45-70.

If I am walking a long way it's a model 7 laminate thumhole stocked stainless in 300 saum with a 3.5X10 leupold VXIII. 168 tsx and all is good. If I don't have too far to go it a rem Sendero in 7saum with the same lupy scope and 150 nosler partitions that group 1/2" (my newest favorite rifle)
