I am getting a Shadow soon; I like the ability to adjust my sights to suit, so I will be getting at least adjustable rear sight (maybe both front and back). What is you r favorite sight picture? Is it a fiber optic front with black rear, all black, three white dots, all fibre optic, or somthing else?

Careful if you're getting it to shoot in IPSC at all. There's a lot of rules about Production class guns and I believe that for you to be able to do this swap it needs to be an actual CZ sight from then and not from an aftermarket.

If I were you I'd try it first. My own Shadow shoots nicely to POA easily over 25 yards at least as well as I can hold it on my best day. This is the case with both the 115 and 124 grain ammo I've shot with it. I suspect you'll only find it becomes an issue if you're rest holding it for longer ranges. It comes with a nice quick to grab fiber front and clean looking black notch rear. Having shot a lot of other styles of sights this simple "put the bright red spot into the middle of the notch" style is rapidly becoming one of my favourites.

I do not shoot IPSC and do not plan to, so that is not my concern. I shoot all kinds of different loads and I find the adjsutable sights come in handy; all I want to know is waht people prefer, bit whether it is a good idea or not.

The Shadow comes with a high profile competion rear sight already and as the point of aim is well set up already (at least on mine), there's really no need to change the rear sight. I'm personally waiting for a smaller front sight F/O, as I find the 1.5 mm one is too big.

Yea, I'm a really big fan of the high profile Novak-esque rear sight and the big red fiber optic front sight that come stock on the Shadow. Super easy target acquisition in my opinon. I'm not a great fan of normal three dot sights or the CZ night sights on the SP01 tactical. I'm not a fan of it on the Sig 226 or other longer slide models either like the Glock 35. I typically only like three dot simple sights on shorter length barrels. For my full size or more competition oriented pistols I far prefer a nice big fat fiber optic front sight and some sort of simple novak rear. On my Para Ordnance LTC 1911 I have a low profile Novak rear and I find it's not as comfortable as the high profile ones on the Shadow. I don't find I roll my shoulders or drop my neck trying to acquire a sight picture.

I cannot make up my mind if I am sold on the F/O on the front of the Shadow; I like everything else and a sight change is no big deal to me. I do like the deep rear sight picture of the Novak type rear sight, but I find the F/O almost overpowering (I shoot outside). I find it so bright that it seems to obscure the edges of the metal portion of the sight. I hit way too high with the sight setup the way it is now on the one I have been trying, thus the reason for cosnidering switching it. People at the range with nasty trigger snatches seem to be closer on target that the ones that deliberately take the time to draw back on the trigger.
