Favorite target load?

sail has challenger 53.50 a flat. I love these shells when I can get them and dont know why more places dont carry them.

I also used to really like Gamebore white gold, but these seem to be scarce now...

That's a pretty solid price. It's not listed on the website though. :/

I was in there last week and was surprised to a) see challenger and b) see them at such a good price. I have bought challenger wholesale before and this price is not too far off.

I might be in there soon to buy some boots, I will take a look. The store I would be going to is in Toronto, so it might not carry the Challenger stuff anyways.

I've used all those loads and many others. Of that selection I would select 2-3/4 dram 7-1/2 dram for trap. But if you are a regular shooter you will go through a couple of flats pretty quickly so why not try them all over time and discover which one you like best. Of the cheaper shells I prefer Winchester Super Target to Federal Top Gun but only because I can't stand the smell of the Federal shells when they are fired. I'd rather pay a little extra and shoot Challenger or Kent.

Top Guns are still costructed around a paper base wad with plastic tube. All others are of complete plastic construction. A paper base wad will give off a stronger "burnt powder" odor...which I feel is kind of nice as when I grew up all shotshells smelled like that!
