Tagged for interest. Just picked up a 9.3x57. I'm planning to try H4895 myself, with the 280gr NOE bullet.
Im assuming those are x62 loads?

That's in a x57 and not a x62? Impressive.
Neither CZ , nor Tikka make a rifle in 9.3x57. So, these numbers are obviously from a x62
Although I bet you could really bring out the potential of a x57 if you spun a custom chambered barrel onto a Tikka and ran it at 65k psi. Lol
Of course I'd have to question the sanity of anyone who would do that rather than just shooting a x62.

Suther, did you buy that 9.3x57 that dgardineau (spelling? I think that's his handle) had for sale recently? I decided I wanted one I could scope so I went with one from Tradex. If you want to try some of the NOE cast bullets in yours I'd be happy to give you a few.

No I got mine from Frontier Firearms during a sale back in like May. Haven't had the time or money to get it up and running though, between summer with the family and then hunting season I've had no time or money to spend on this one. All in it cost me $235 shipped, has weaver mounts for a scope but still has the 180 degree safety. I wanted it for an iron sights rifle anyways, I've been working on getting better with them... If I find out I can't shoot irons good enough I'll probably slap a micro red dot on it. We'll see though.

Is it built on a 96 or 98 action?
In the 9.3x62 Varget and 414 worked well for me, in the x57 I'd go with a slightly faster powder...one of the 4895's would be good.
Brownells has a couple versions of low swing safety's for 96's and 98's.

Its a 96 I do believe. All it says is 1932 Husky 9.3cal (roughly), but it cocks on close so that would indicate a 96 from what I've read.
Yes I have seen the safeties at Brownells. I'm not a huge fan of them compared to the 3-position safety I've got, but if I decide to scope it I'll have to go that route because clearing the current safety with a scope would be ridiculous in terms of scope height - but I could get those stupid see through rings! (it hurts me to even say that...)
In my 9.3x57 i was loading 290grain Matrix bullet, and now 286 gr Privi bullet with large rifle primer H4895 45 grains gives 2160 fps. With a cast 260 grain bullet H4198 covered with a 1/4" square of cotton, which is covered with COW to the base of the bullet. This gives 1700 fps
And no leading at all, right? Mine has none at 2100 fps.
The 9.3X57 with its 14 inch twist bore is one of the best cast bullet guns available today.

Lean farther, Ball C2 lit up with magnum primers will be pure magic in your '57, Suther.
And don't let anyone tell you the Speer is too soft for big game. Here's one recovered from a really big bull moose.
It was started out of a '62 at close to 2600. Your '57 will get it well past 2300.
