I have a raptor on my stag. First ambi charging handle and it is wonderful. I would recommend the raptor hands down

Never used a raptor, but I have three Geissele Super Charging Handles and love them, they're worth picking up on sale when ArmsEast does their Geissele sales.

I wouldn't. I bought 2 from TNA and while one works awesome the other had the latch bend. I love TNA but I'd buy a name brand charging handle or at least buy an aftermarket latch.

I am debating between Geissele or Raptor.

I’ve got an old AXTS Raptor, prior to their rebranding. It’s a great charging handle. The Geissele handles are also top notch. I don’t think you can go wrong with either.

You'll be happy with either, but it'll make you absolutely hate standard charging handles forever. Maybe try the geissele first and get Raptors for any further ARs

I'm clearly in the minority here but I liked the old BCM/VLTOR (no longer licensed to BCM) with the mod 4 medium latches the best, better than my raptor. Just felt easier/more positive to grab. These days I just put a YHM or Badger 2nd gen tac latch on and call it a day at a fraction of the cost, but these clearly aren't ambi.

Used to be a big fan of the old BCM mod 4’s but since I started Shooting a lot of off hand I decided to switch to an ambi and went with the Geissele airborne. I’ve no experience with the raptor but I can’t stand huge charging handles that catch on everything.
The airborne seemed like a solid compromise and I’ve been happy with them ever since.

I’d be curious if there is anything measurably “better” on the raptors or if it’s just simply brand favorites or what’s more available

I run the BCM/VLTOR Mod 4 Ambi's in my AR's and really like them. I bought a Radian Raptor for my AR10 build, should hopefully be testing that soon.
