Favourite handgun sights.

Just wondering from those who have had a wide and varied experience with different sights. What are your favourites and why?

I thought the tritium combat sights on my P220 elite were the cats ass. Turns out overall I'm a far better shooter with williams firesights. They are more precise, easier to use and if it is light enough to make out a target, the fibre optics are bright enough to use cleanly. Tritium just doesnt feel necessary. Adjustable, fair build quality and a far sight better than a painted front ramp.

Is there better? Whats your fav and why?

1-all black rear with HD/tritium front. Bright orange (don't mind fiber optic but have broken a few)

2- dot/post as on beretta M9 and older sig's.

Can't really nail it down without specifying what you/re shooting at, how big, how quickly etc.

Bullseye shooting tiny lil circles on white paper? Rapid hits on humanoid cardboard? Really rapid hits on bowling pins/plates? Bad guys in poor light?

I've always liked a post or ramp with brass in it for general plinking and informal target shooting.
All black for serious target shooting.

Simple 3 white dots work great for fast shooting on rapid target aquisition although all black is still very good if yer shooting at just plain cardboard....anything dark or multi colour and all black gets poor quick.

Night sites are never a good choice other than for what they're designed for...low to no light and close quick aquisition under stress.
They are typically blurry and slower to pick up quickly/clearly in good light.

I really like the TruGlo Brite Site Fiber Optic sights that I put on my Glock. Very quick to line up when firing rapidly for me. I like a big contrast between front and rear. Either different colors or a blacked out rear sight works best for me. I have no problem with three white dots though, I just prefer more contrast.

I have XS big dot sights on my Glock. They work well for fast targeting AND your properly
set up to watch James Yeager videos

Dot post on my sig...all black rear with fiber optic on my shadow....gets target really quickly...

me too with the fire sights, put a set on my sw mp 9
nice step up from non adjustable 3 white dot
even the wife likes them

I still like good old Bomar's for target work .

Trijicon or Meprolight for me but it will really depend on your end use.
