favourite high velocity 9mm powder?

6.5 HS-6 with 124gr. Frontier, 1140fps in my G17.

I that’s what I’ve been using 6.4gr of HS-6 befind 124gr Frontier; it felt like a powder puff load after I tried 7.8gr of Blue dot with loading with the same bullet… but according to the specs they should be the same...


I would like to try something around 1200fps...

Try some 3n37 if you can find any.

I have used VV 3n37 and have easily pushed 115gr. bullets to 1350fps with no pressure signs and it has been within established loading data. It would be a great choice as well for 124gr. bullets. I have some of this powder on hand but have not used it for about 8 years, so I cannot offer any recent recipes with Frontier bullets.
