Favourite hunting bullet for the 7mm Magnums?

With the exception of long range shooting, its tough to imagine a North American big game scenario that could not be handled with a 7mm Partition or an Accubond of appropriate weight. If you want the cool factor, a 150 gr Scirocco provides Accubond performance, with a bigger price tag . . . but they are ###y looking bullets.

They are actually less expensive ;), don't tell anyone!

I was out yesterday with my 700 Remington in 7mm Rem Mag.
Loaded up some 150 Swift Scirocco II bullets, using IMR 4831 and Vihtavuori N160.

Both powders yielded groups right around MOA. [fine for hunting, obviously]

On a lark, I ran three of the N160 loads across the Chrony....3145 avg.
Sounds like a load to take hunting to me!! :) Dave.

This morning I was shooting a friends Tikka t3x 7mm Rem Mag, getting close to being done with load development. 160gr Accubonds @ 2998 fps with RL26, 3 shots in 3/4" group

RL26 pumpin' the 160gr Accubonds, 24.4" Tikka. Average of the last 3 groups has been 0.95MOA

I'm a big fan of the 150 grain Scirocco. They've served me well in 7RM.

I'm working now on a load for 175 grain Partitions, as we have a tatonka draw this fall and minimum bullet weight is 175, and the wife will be learning to shoot something bigger than her 7/08.

If I could find 175 grain A-frames before the hunt, I'd try them too.

I'm also looking for RL26 recipes, especially for the 175 grain Partitions.
