With all of the various bullet makes and models out there today, what is your favourite "hunting" bullet? (In handloads and/or factory ammunition)

Mine is the Nosler AccuBond.
But I also like the Nosler Partition, Sierra Game King, Speer Hot Cor and Winchester PowerPoint. Have had many successful harvests with all of these.
Looking forward to using the Swift A-Frames this year in new-to-me rifles (348 Win and 284 Win).

Old fashioned, partition, the bullet all others are compared against. The problem with them is the soft tip deforming. One can only save so many cartridges for coup de grasse.

My 270 likes ballistic tips, and the accubond is sneaking into my big magnum calibers.

Nosler i suppose. Although there are some other brands mixed in, swift, and for economy Hornady.

Barnes ttsx has done amazing things for me. I've used it in 30-06, 7mm and 338wm at ranges from under 50yards to just over 200. I've shot coyote deer and moose, I've got no complaints.

Before I switched to Barnes I was using the hornady sst with pretty good results

Nosler partition, except for moose. For moose I use 400gr Hawks. Calling season moose, shots under 30-40 yds, devastating.

That being said I've shot a pile of deer and antelope with hornady's.

Hunting buddy is sold on the all copper Barnes bullets that peel. They seem to work well from what I've seen, just never seen a reason to change.

edit: remembered the barnes name

Depends what i'm hunting and with what. Sierra and Hornady cup and core bullets are wonderful for deer with 7mm & up. for deer with smaller calibers like 6mm I prefer bonded or partition bullets. For elk I like 30 cal or larger heavy bullets of standard construction or very strong mid weight bullets like Barnes TSX. For bear i like a bullet that is likely to exit. TSX, TBBC, A Frame, N partition, Grand Slam. For dangerous african game like buffalo I'd choose the strongest expanding bullet of the largest and heaviest weight, the same as for bears but bigger caliber. For moose almost any decent bullet that is heavy for caliber and 7mm or bigger is OK, but i prefer bigger and bonded like a 30 cal 180 or 9.3 mm 286 gr. Norma Oryx. For pronghorn antelope, fast, sleek, and quick opening is the ticket. Hornady SST are a good example. Prefer conical bullets to round balls in a muzzleloader. etc. etc.

My all-time favorite bullet is the venerable Nosler Partition.
I also like and use: Accubonds, A-Frames, Scirocco IIs, Woodleighs,
& Hunting Ballistic Tips. Dave.

I use Nosler Accubonds, and Fail Safe, as well as Barnes XBT depending on the bullet weight I'm loading. No complaints from me or the game it was used on.

I reload 100% Nosler since 1982. Partitions and ballistic tips are utilized for two rifles, Accubonds are for the rest of the rifles.

I like the shiny ones that come in the blue box made by Federal that fit my gun.
They work for me.

Been hunting with nothing else than Barnes TSX and TTSX for the last 15 years or so for a variety of game in a variety of cartridges.

.311 KKSP 215 grain C.I.L.'s are my go to hunting bullet.
Got lots more that I would not hesitate to use however, from Barnes TSX to Speer PSP's in various weights.
Killed stuff cleanly with all of them.

Depends on what rifle is going, hunting for what, and where.

This last year in our house Barnes TTSX's, Hornady GMX's, SST's, and Amax's all got used on big game, for .224" through .284".
