I have a RCBS Uniflow powder measure I do not use and a RCBS electronic powder dispenser (trickler) / scale combo that works by talking to each other of infrared...it works awesome but you have to throw the bulk of the charge by hand and let it trickle the rest...

I am thinking of going to a completely automatic powder dispensing system such as the RCBS Chargemaster but am not sure that is the best...6mmBR has a review that says it is the best of the three tested but what do you use and your thoughts on it?
 
I have been using the RCBS Chargemaster Combo for over 4 years now, and it is the greatest boon
to a reloader since non-corrosive primers.

A small modification to the dispenser tube, and charges are very consistent.
I like very much not having to mess with a trickler or other such device.

I keep one balance beam scale around to check an occasional charge, but have yet to find a problem.

I opted for the Lyman due to budget.
DPS ll with the speed upgrade kit iirc
Easy to use, easy to clean and accurate.
It has yet to throw a bogus charge according to my 5-0-5.
I seat the bullet on the previous charge while the next one is being thrown.
A real time saver and sure takes the monotony out of charging cases
While they are said to be sensitive to fluorescent light that isn't an issue in my incandescent world.
I'm happy with it, especially for the price.
 
I have the Hornady, it works great for me. Mind you I have never used the RCBS or Lyman either so I can't compare them.

Exactly what I do.. just great
 
After sitting on the fence for quite a while, I added the RCBS Chargemaster to my bench and it didn't take long to decide that I'd hate to be without it. I do use the "drinking straw" trick and it does help with some powders.
 
Natchez Shooting Supplies has the best price (incl shipping and CBSA-collected taxes).
They are happy dealing with Canadian customers, and reloading gear is permitted for export.

Rebates on RCBS sometimes available for Cdn customers too. You may have to throw in 11 dollars of other
RCBS to get the rebate on $300 of product.

Thanks for the tip on Natchez, a great price compared to Canadian, the cheapest Canadian price I found (RCBS Combo) was 460 plus tax, Natchez 290, added a set of dies I needed and 21.00 shipped to the border...even with the 30 minute drive, CSBA..I am still winning big time on that price...thanks guys..
 
I always wanted the Chargemaster, but found the Hornady on sale one day so I snapped it up. I've used a friend's Chargemaster for loading rifle ammo and fell in love right away, and it was spot on every time with Varget. I've only used my Hornady for pistol ammo so far, and it's been rock solid, only throwing 1 of 20 charges over (yep, I do load pistol ammo single stage with a hand press because of space constraints) but I'm blaming that on bumping my work surface.

Either way I look at it, it's a big step up from using a manual charge thrower to get the bulk of the powder, then trickling onto a scale to bring it to where you want. makes life so much easier.
