Favourite sling for your Marlin 45-70!

Look out...there's a zombie coming...get the 45/70 with the flashlight?

The gun is nice minus the open sights, ammo carrier, and most importantly the flashlight.

Ever tried aiming a long gun at a bear ripping through your work camp tents at night while holding a flashlight? I have and it sucks.

As for scopiing a guide gun? Ghost rings for this kid.

If you hang around here for a while you might find out that Geologist, along with a few others, is the real deal. If his rifle is equipped a certain way, there's sound logic behind it.

Some of you guys haven't a clue those light mount that Geo and I have on our Marlins are fantastic for defense at night and I prefer synthetics as well.

I use a Butler Creek sling on my Marlin 1895GS and synthetic shell holder on the butt stock.

I am a little different in that I wanted my Marlin to have the capabilities of mounting a scope so I use Warne 2 piece bases and Leupold Quick release rings when I take the scope off re; middle picture I mount my XS Back Up Ghost ring sight in the rear scope base.

Here is the leather military sling that I use on my Puma M92 454 Casull but when the weather gets wet I switch to the Bultler Creek sling on this one as well.
