FB Radom GROT S16

I was just about to post, that is an ACR clone. Wonder how they would compare. I have had a chance to shoot a Bushmaster ACR but it was the new DMR version. It was decent but not exceptional for how much they are price wise. Hopefully someone tries to bring them in and we have another option.

Looks like the common complaint on this first gen and also the military version is the trigger weight. The commandos using the HK416 is making the comment the trigger is too heavy. So the factory is going back to develop a lighter trigger.

Looks better out of the box than an ACR.

Funny thing about the human brain, it is always seeking familiarity when it sees something for the first time, at least no one has posted the tiresome "if x rifle and y rifle had a baby"

Funny thing is that I was thinking about this rifle today. I hope we can get it! I'd love to have a Polish military service rifle in my collection. I'd like to own the wz. 2004 Beryl but that won't happen so I'll happily settle for this.
Also here's a cool video of Polish shooters comparing the Grot to other similar rifles on the market - the FN SCAR-16, HK-416, CZ Bren 2 and the FB Radom Beryl wz. 2004. They seem to like it.

Please cite your information of Radom copying Bushmaster Magpul.

This design was always an indigenous design for the Polish military as far I can see.

Its pretty well documented that this rifle started design and prototyping shortly after polands special forces got their Remington Defense ACR demo units. Between that and the striking resemblance as well as similar feature set it is safe to assume that the ACR was refered to frequently during the design process.

I think the problem with this rifle will be the price. Polish made guns have high quality in my experience but there new production firearms tend to be too pricey for my taste. I look forward to our gun owners in the oil and farming business enjoying these cool guns but I realize they wont be priced according to the competition.

Do you have links to said anecdotal evidence?
