Good Evening,
Thought I give a little update. Have been in contact with Odell and they did agree the pin is very tight, they asked me to try reinstalling the pins in a different order. The pin is easier to install but I believe its due to some wear and rounding on the pin holes. As far as I can tel the lower does not quiet line up, and the rear pin being tight is just the symptom.
I have over 400 rounds through it now. It does take about 150 she’ll to break in. I used what i had which was target load with 1300 FPS being the strongest. After that It would cycle 1 oz 1200 FPS shells reliably. After the 300 shell mark it would cycle 1145 FPS shells reliably, so pleased about that.
The factory mags work well, but can be over inserted, and the bolt release would not function. Normal mag insertions works just fine.
Some one I known purchased 3, 10 rd AS 46 mags, two work good but one has issues where it wound would feed a shell at all, or jam a shell. Of course no bolt hold open on the AS 46 mags.
The trigger is stiff, but does soften up slightly after some use. The sights and the vertical grip are cheap but functional. The aluminum upper seems to be well made, it does get a little warm if dumping a few mags. There is a good amount of muzzle rise with higher velocity shells, got a grizzly works muzzle break ordered.
I’m not a fan of bullpups, but this one fits good and is a lot fun to shoot.
