Okay, I'll start. BYF42 P08 Luger, commonly referred to by many US collectors as the "Black Widow". All matching, both mags right on as issued. Came with this real nice German belt and buckle, which didn't belong with the set. It was sold to me as a bringback, but this is such a late production BYF it was most certainly sent to Portugal in 1943 as part of a contract from Mauser. Came also with a Port holster, cleaning rod and loadng tool. One of the last true P08 pistols produced by Mauser. Nothing like a nice tight Luger:) Thanks for looking!

Thanks Ron, yes I prefer the wooden grips as well, alot classier. These are just a pretty nice late variation though, had to have:)

Joe N, take a look at the Finnish lugers offered at Collectors Source. They are DWM, mid 1920-1930 manufacture and non prohib 4.8 inch bbls. bearhunter

OOps, yup, I meant prohibited. The two barrels look identical in length, I'm sure there's not much difference.
Edit to say sorry for the hi-jack lol, and I found out that even though the Luger's barrel is slightly shorter that the P-38, the overall length of the Luger is longer by 14mm. Sounds silly to prohib. the Luger.

Thanks, I am fortunate enough to have my 12-6, so I have never really looked at the Finnish Lugers. I do find it absolutely ridiculous that these are prohibs though. There is virtually no significant difference in size from the P08 to the P38, as mentioned.

Nice Luger! There is no pistol ###ier than a Luger.

I've had the pleasure to drool over Joe's luger collection a couple of times, and here's another prime piece Joe!!!

On a side note, I had the chance to shoot a luger a week or so back. First time shooting a luger, and I found it a very pleasent a smooth shooter. Too bad so few of us can have them in our collections. But I guess if only a fewer gang members carry lugers, the streets will remain a safer place for us all.
