Just picked up this 1942 SVT-40 last week

I never got around to posting these after I picked them up so I figured I'd do it now.
Picked up the Long Branch No.4 Mk1 and the Plainfield M1 Carbine back in November and The Springfield M1 Garand at the end of December. (the M44, TT33, and 1911 I've had for a while)

I guess I should join in. Just bought this Yugo M48 Mauser. Pics are from the seller, the rifle is in the mail at the moment. I also bought a bubba'd 98 Mauser, but I do not pick that up until next week. Pics to follow when I have it in hand. This is my first centerfire rifle purchase. Whoo Hoo!:dancingbanana:

Arent those the nicest old army guns ya ever saw????

wow! that almost makes me want an m48 again...Very nice!

Thanks guys. I have it in hand now and it is fantastic. Basically a brand new 60 year old milsurp. I am waiting to challenge my PAL and RPAL exams this week, so I had a buddy buy it with his PAL. His wife loved it when they opened the box and she told me that if I ever want to sell it, she gets first refusal or I am in trouble. It is the first milsurp Mauser I have handled in person and I am surprised at how small and light it is. I was expecting a bigger, beefier piece. I am just waiting on the weather now to get it out to the range and see what she can do.

My first proper milsurp guns.

My first milsurp guns!

Everybody has their "never sell guns", well these are mine!

It is a 1950 Danish rebuilt M1 Garand. Springfield reciever and a VAR barrel are both in mint condition, and the military wood is almost flawless. Less then two hundred rounds have been fired through the barrel since it was rebuilt.

Got 10 En-blocks, sling, and an original bayonett with a beautiful wooden sheath.

The handgun is a Norinco 1911 A1C. Shoots like a dream, and I got a little laugh out of the fact that it was more reliable then my friends Colt, which frequently FTF's.

This is also my first time trying to take good pictures with the camera. Any of you photo guys out there, let me know what you think of the pictures.

Enjoy!

Oh, I doubt I could sell you a Finn that would fit your SKy marked sling. On my side, I'm still looking for a SA marked M-44; seems there are some around. Someone on the EE forums told me he had two but he sold them to someone else... :(
PP.

No pictures yet, but I just picked up a 1917 Oberndorff Gewehr 98 and a Rast & Gasser 1898. Probably getting a French M1892 next week as well.

Just picked up this 5 digit serial number Springfield M1 with VAR barrel. It has the lockbar rear sight. The wood is so gorgeous it almost hurts to look at it...

I have had a great streak of luck this month. I don't have much money but I like to trade. Finall finished a deal for an AR-180, FN FAL G Series, Ruger Security Six, Pietta 1873, High Standard Citation, Ruger Old Army, and Mannlicher Schoenauer Carbine 6.5X54
