Here's my pretty new K98k.
It's a 1943 bcd Gustloff Werke K98k
K98k (7.92 x 57mm) 1943 Gustloff Werke, Weimar
(East German Post WW2 Re-build)
"All Matching Serial Numbers" (Except Rear Sight)

Bought it from Badgerdog and I'm sure it will make him cringe, but I'm going to put some more rounds through it so I can update soon with details on how well she groups.

She really is a beauty, the metal finish is flawless as is the wood (despite the mismatched handguard), Thanks Badgerdog ;)

Yeah, great rifle skip. I had an East German VoPo Bcd 41 that was a beaut also. Out of all the k98 reworks, I think the East German stuff is top notch. They always look like a million bucks. Enjoy!!

Since then I've had to buy a Finnish Mosin in order to drown my sorrows LOL.
Hey! Finnish Mosins are not like the fat but horny girl you take home to help you forget the barbie girl that snobbed you! :p
I only cater to Finnish Mosins: they are history books by themselves and they offer enough opportunities to ruin my bank account! :p
PP.

LOL, that first Mosin was a true Finnish "manufacture" with a Tikka barrel and a pot belly stock, a real beauty. Since then I've bought 2 Finn captures and I'm eyeing another. No sorrows here!

I picked up a Winchester p14 and Turk reworked Gew98.

Pic will be fixed soon.

Andy we had a great time. Got a fire started in the club house and a burn bbl going on Range two. But at times I though we were going to see a AT-AT come over the berm.

No, that one was a 1903. I got this one off the board......
Nice P-14! Nice dog, too! German shepherd I think; how old? :)
I love dogs and cats and guns and....;)
BTW, got a Ross M-10 receiver with an uncut barrel as a gift (!!! ) for a Ross crossbolt from one of our eminent members!
And another member from another french forum gave me a prohibited MAB pistol because the $?*"$! at the CFC refused to renew his 12(6). Told him that if those stupid regulations came to be changed he'll find it awaiting him. Gave him a locking blade Swiss Victorinox as a token of my appreciation.

Hey PP!
Care to trade that barreled Ross action for a MAS36 Sporter in .308? (That I just bought from Steppenwolf here on the board ) It's a neat little rifle, Thanks Steppenwolf! I have a Ross that has a dewatted receiver that I would like to get working again.
Here's the MAS36 CQB!(the aimpoint wouldn't be included in a trade!)

Picked this one up this weekend Made in 1944, mint bore, and blueing, a couple of marks on the stock, but has not been sanded or touched, stock, bolt shroud, and cocking piece does not match elec pencil, everything else does. What I have read less than 2000 of these were made in 1944.

Yup mine is the twin to yours. :D
Have you taken her to the range yet?
Also how common/expensive is 6.5 ammo in your area?

swede

I haven't gone out with her yet, I reload, so I could not tell you prices on ammo. But I sure can't wait to get out and give her a go!!
P.S.- I haven't told my wife yet!!!!:p

Well, it is Feb 28, so I get in under the wire for a Feb purchase...
Here is the m44 I picked up for $100... the barrel cleaned up beautifully and the action is as smooth as butter. The wood is a little rough but I got it to drag into the bush, I think it's perfect! Need to head out to the range and try it out!

And here is Jack, I tried to get him to sit with the rifle for a pic but he hates the smell of Hoppes.

Guns & dogs, I love it! Anybody else have a mutt that likes the taste of beeswax? I swear it takes forever to get a decent coat on, as I put it on one end he is licking it of the other.
