Federal 525 Valu Packs .22LR

I've had the same experience with Winchester Super X a couple of years ago.
Still have 10 rounds I saved, all ran twice through a 22 pistol and rifle. No spark.

I like the federal 525 packs, but the winchester 555 packs are same price at wally world and just as good... but I see the same issues every now and then with both brands like FTF from lack of primer or what have you.

The Federal 525s are my box of choice to feed my Marlin 60. Never fail to feed, fire or eject and the accuracy is excellent; 14 rounds through a loony at 50.

Winchesters on the other hand, are my bane. Can never get a full tube of shooting without having to fiddle with the damn bolt...

My problem with the 525s is the 'hollow point'. It's not a damn HP, it's a half-millimetre dimple that doesn't do diddly for expansion.

Update.

So I realized that my bolt on the PPS wasn't closing properly each cycle or would pop out a bit. Turns out the extractor on the bolt pushed the bolt out of battery by about .5mm. From factory the barrel wasn't cut deep enuff for the extractor. I filed down the groove and now the bolt sits tight to the barrel without pushing back.

Still need to shoot it since the fix but odd that bullets were loose in case.

Thanks for the input.
