You're both right. I agree with xPrairie in that we need to reduce our independence on just one country and instead increase our trade globally, and remind the Americans that just because we're nice doesn't mean we're merciful, which means hitting them back just as hard if not harder. They need to be reminded that Canadians are the reason that the Geneva convention exists. And yes, Smith has a big mouth and needs to learn her place.

On the other hand IvoB, you are correct that our deer in the headlights leader should have put Canada first instead of giving away all our hard earned money to all his friends and his pet projects. He's the reason Trump thinks we're weak and can be exploited. He only understands and respects strength, so let's give it to him.

Both things can be true.

I never said I liked dirty oil in any of my posts - a true leader thinks of their people and what is good for their country. But since you mentioned "dirty oil" you forgot to mention all of the transfer payments Ontario/Quebec and the Maritimes received when their economies were struggling from "dirty oil" You literally took my comment out of context.
