Federal fusion for moose??

I saw that. When I googled it though, it seems a few have used it on moose with success. I wanted to gear from a little more reliable source of they work. A few moose outfitters even recommend them right up there with the best. Don't know if I buy it though.

Use heavy for caliber bullets and you will do OK if you shoot them where in counts.
He took three steps and went arse over tea kettle to a 150gr Fusion .308. Moose just aren't hard to kill.
That's awesome. My 280 shot 140 grain Fusions like a laser beam but I heard the bullets were frangible and switched to more expensive Trophy Bonded Tips and they shoot not that great but have a good killing reputation. I'm thinking I should have stuck with Fusions. I'm up to $300 in ammo getting that gun to shoot. Federal Fusions, Trophy Bonded Tips, Nosler Partitions, Nosler Ballistic Tips....
I do not know about the Fusion ammo but my hunting partners have been using 180 grains 30-06 Federal "blue box" ammunition for moose hunting for years... The "blue box" bullets certainly did the job well and I would expect Fusion to do same... I was also debating whether to use Fusion for moose or not.
Nice moose. Im just back from my moose hunt and didn't get to see how the fusions work..I completely missed a nice nice bull on our last day...still trying to cope with it...never felt so sick to my stomach. I had a tracker come in with his dog to be sure I didn't wound him and after a half day of searching it was confirmed that I missed.
Tracker with dogs... Were you by any chance in the Rimouski area? Just wondering as I was hunting there earlier this fall (mid-September) and that service was offered free of charge to hunters, availability permitting. Our party got lucky and we brought back a nice 49" bull. No need for dogs. The bull was shot through the shoulder with Federal Vital-Shok .30-06 ammunition (180 grains Nosler Partition bullet) from about 75' and fell right on the spot... Strangely, the bull fell on its front hoof and punctured his belly and stomach; never seen that before. It made for a bit messier gutting job.
No, I wasntin Rimouski and I had to pay for the tracker but at least I could sleep knowing he wasn't wounded. There are trackers all over Quebec, easy to find on the web.
