I had the chance to put some rounds through the sbl 45/70 and the model 94-30-30 and I am very happy with federals' new hammer down lever gun ammo.both calibers cycled and loaded more easier and smoother than regular ammo ,for those that don't know ,the cases have a slight chamfer on them to promote smoother loading and cycling in tube fed lever guns.

I managed some really tight groups out of the Sbl,it's very accurate anmo out of short barrel rifles.the 30-30 was fairly decent in 150 grain, but the model94 I have prefers 170 grain and groups very good with any 170 ammo.2 inch groups at 75 yards open sights was the best I could do with the 94.

anyone wanting to try it Id say do it ,this stuff feeds/cycles/ noticeably smoother in both guns.

I’ve gone through a few boxes of the 357 Hammer Down in my 77/357. It’s the most accurate ammo I’ve shot in it (sub Moa @ 100y), and it seems to hit harder and retain more weight than any other 357 round I’ve used with the exception of A-Frames.

Never had an issue with cycling any ammo from any manufacturer through any lever gun. I think they are hyping a problem that doesn't exist for sales if they are actually claiming smoother feeding.

well you've been lucky,I've fixed a lot of Marlins with these exact problems, most times a strip and thorough. Cleaning solves the issues.ive seen a JM guide gun not cycle leverevolution ammo worth a crap, which is funny as this was designed for lever guns, lol
