Federal Terminal Ascent ??

I can NOT attest to this bullet specifically, but it’s little brother (barely different) the trophy bonded tip. Is an amazing hunting bullet, insanely accurate and well priced.. if I were using any other 30 cal besides .308 I’d happily push up to that bullet with the utmost confidence.

Just bought some as well, 175 grain .30-06 loading. The rifle is shooting MOA with cheap 165gr power points so interested in seeing what they can do on paper and if it looks promising taking them into the field.

I've taken one animal with it, 308 175gr, black bear 40 meters, great results. It's shoots within 1 MOA in my RFB, it's also consistent, I like this ammo. I kid you not, I've shot cloverleafs at 50 meters with red dot on my RFB and this ammo (using bipod and yes, I certainly took my time and concentration prone).

3 bears succumbed to this bullet in my hunting group this year, and it’s all I’ll be using next year for my .308s..

Best all around bullet and a great price.

I picked up the 6.5 CM ammo loaded with its 130 gr bullet.
Haven't shot it yet, but am planning on trying it soon, and it may be the ammo I take on a sambar and fallow deer hunt, if it shoots well in my rifle.

I am curious about this ammunition too.
What is the purpose of the silver plating on the bullet? Does it gum up the rifling faster and require more frequent cleaning?
The internet says the ammo is very accurate, but my friend tried some in his 308 and it was only mediocre. I realize that each rifle will be different, but for $78.99 a box I would like to hear real experience opinions.
In the past, I have had fantastic results using 175 grain trophy bonded bear claws in my 7mm magnum, but I see they only offer the terminal ascent in 155 grain.
Hopefully by now somebody has experience with this.

I’ve harvested 10 animals with the terminal ascent total so far from bear to mule deer to moose.. it shoots lights out accurate out of my .308 and is devastating on game. Rapid expansion and some fragmentation to increase wound Chanel and devastation and the a solid cooper shank to ensure complete pass through penetration for a nice blood trail and rapid expiration of the animal.

It’s such a good bullet I’ve stocked up on over 1500 factory rounds of it.

Update on the 6.5 Creedmoor Terminal Ascent ammunition:
Produces groups of less than 1/2" @ 100 yards in my rifle.
My wife and I both practiced with the rifle and ammo from various shooting positions with the trigger sticks before our trip to New Zealand in April.
I harvested a red stag @ 296 yards with one shot; approx. 450 lbs on the hoof, double lung shot, stag swapped ends, staggered a few yards and went down, expiring quickly. Bullet fully penetrated the stag. The fallow buck approx. 130 lbs on the hoof was taken @ 267 yards with one shot; full penetration through both shoulders, and the buck leapt over the low brush it was standing behind and fell down onto the track below, staggered and then tipped over.
The wife shot her arapawa ram @ 120 yards; full penetration with the ram DRT. Unfortunately, both the guide and I had not seen the second ram (not visible from our uphill location) standing just over the edge of the ravine bench below the targeted ram when we both declared that the ram was clear of the other rams so my wife could shoot. The bullet fully penetrated the second ram's pelvis and spine, breaking it down. The ram tipped over completely before my wife could take a second shot at the wounded ram. The rams weighed approx. 150 lbs each. It was interesting to learn that the wife's targeted ram was the first DRT arapawa ram she has ever seen. They usually run 100-450 yards even when dead on their feet.

My wife had so much fun shooting the LH Browning X Bolt in 6.5 Creedmoor with the Terminal Ascent ammo that she has since bought her own LH X Bolt 6.5 CM and insisted that we buy more of those "###y bullets"! Have 6 more boxes of ammo on the way at this time.

Currently on the look out for the Terminal Ascent ammo for the 6.5 PRC and 300 WSM, to try in these rifles.

I finally got a chance to try the 155 grain stuff in my 7mm Rem mag, and it does produce excellent accuracy.
I guess I shall see if that fancy silver coating gums up my rifling, as I don't clean my rifle after my final sight in, until the season is over.
I am thinking it can be my one and only load for moose, black bear, mule deer and whitetail deer.
Hopefully I get to see actual performance on a few of those this season.
