I have a few boxes that I haven't opened. Internet wisdom indicates its pretty good stuff. Anyone have firsthand experience?

Federal had a winner with the UM1 ammo and a couple of Olympic medals were won by shooters reputed to be using it. The bottom line is that Federal decided to not compete with the other major players in competition RF ammo. Like all other RF ammo, no predicting how it will perform in your rifle compared to other brands.
Shoot it and enjoy it .

Touche to the recommendations of just shooting it. I suppose what I was after was more along the lines of an indication of how consistent anyone's seen it to be across a variety of rifles. Similar to when one analyses lot to lot variation and finds that some lots shoot well in everything, and others are plain dud production runs.

Thanks for the history dryfire. Interesting to see that they had no interest in the product as I've read raves about the line. Economics of the day maybe?

Maybe I'll just run it thru the 10/22 and be done with it

Run a bit through the 10/22 and then through your most accurate 22 that you have knowledge on how well it shoots. Come back and tell us if it shot better than what you were using before.

Unless your 10/22 is a heavily breathed on rifle , it would be an unfortunate waste in the rifle because it wouldn't have the attributes to capitalize on the advantages the round may give. YMMV
