My order just came in today. I'll be shooting this out of my Rem 700 5R (24" barrel), anyone have any insight into this ammo on how it preforms?
Looking forward to shooting it soon and seeing how well it groups. Thanks ammosource

Like typical ball ammo, not terribly accurate.
Shooting it out of a 24" bolt gun is a bit strange. It's more suited to being spammed from a semi auto being run like a carbine.

Yup! Not really the best kind off ammo for your gun. Best leave it for the M-14 guys cause you can choose better for your gun.

I have lots of Hornady match and FGMM, this ammo for me would be more for messing around with

Ya! FYI this ammo has a bimetal jacket! It's just not the best stuff for you with your 5R rifling.

So this mix of metal jacket will damage my nice 5R rifling?

It's just a opinion of some guys. They don't like to use bimetal jackets in highend and/or precision rifles. It won't really damage your rifling but a recent study shows that it causes accelerated barrel wear.

If your happy with it go and shoot it! It's not gonna break your gun or wear out the rifling in 100 rounds or anything. I just wouldn't shoot a ton of it out of your precision rifle; I would find another round that doesn't have a bimetal jacket for bulk volume shooting. If your just a occasional shooter don't worry about it.

Your really just cheesing off us M14 semi auto guys that need that stuff for ourselves LOL
This ammo is the ideal stuff for a stock Norc M14 and it's sloppy chamber.
