Shot my chiappa for the first time .like it but had a ton of problems .biggest problem was the slide would not always push the 22 cartride all the way in so i had to push it manually forward before i could shoot.it started getting better after a 100 rounds or so .will this get better or is their something i can do to make it feed better.are some cartridges better then others.

It may just need some more shooting to smooth out the metal to metal parts & break it in.

Check if high velocity ammo is recommended by the maker & if so I would use it.
If it continues to misfeed then it should be under warranty.

I was considering buying one. Maybe now I will wait.

what ammo are you using? i'm using Win Dynapoint in my S&W 22A and it's been flawless since round 1.

I had a look at the gun at P&D and within 3 seconds I knew it was not for me. It looks like a cheap pot metal blank firing gun turned into a 22 not surprised at all that they have issues. If you could find one a guy would be MUCH better off with a Marvel or Wilson 22 conversion kit to run on any 1911 frame.

went to the range again this time i polished the ramp and took a burr away and apllied a small amout of oil on the slide.I still had one jam out of 250 shots but it performed 100 times better.
