Feedback re Mitchell (Mauser) Gold Series

Does anyone have any feedback at all regarding Mitchell (Mauser) Gold Series .45 ACP pistols.

A couple of years ago they were advertising them for $795 US and now they are over $2000 US - what gives?

Run from any firearm bearing the name Mitchell.

I believe these pistols are made in the Philipines. For $2000.00 there are better choices.

Don Mitchell's reputation in the firearms industry is questionable at best.
