feeding a savage 64g...

im buying a savage 64g. its a semi, just a little thumb in the eye of liberals,does anyone have suggestions on what their 64 likes, dislikes, hates?

Every gun is different, every gun likes different ammo so you really cant ask what will work best for __________

Buy a bunch of 50 round boxes of ammo and see what works best

My cooey 64 loves AE 40 grain solids and AE hollow points, and federal 525 hollowpoint bulk packs. All shoot about the same in my gun and feeds them all reliably when the mag was not messed up

My 5 Cooey 64s ( same gun as the savage 64, only about 40 years older) like the Winchester 333 hollow points. seems the copper coating smooths out the bullet and the action works great. My Mossy also likes the 333s over any of the miriad of combinations and manufacturers ...both hollow or solids..

Dynapoints and 333's are both great in the one I see. The federal bulk pack is pretty good too.

Speaking from experience with a Cooey 64, stick with high-velocity ammo. Ours likes Federal bulk packs as well as Winchester Power-Points

Mine shoots American Eagly 38gr. And only that.

"...Buy a bunch of 50 round boxes..." Of different brands. No two firearms, even two identical firearms with consecutive serial numbers, will shoot the same ammo the same way. The price of said ammo means nothing either.
