So I'm fairly new to shotguns, picked up a norinco hp9 with a 14" barrel.

The problem is when I'm out having fun with her, sometimes ill rack it (usually pretty authoratative) sometimes the next shell will not exit from the tube to be loaded into the chamber, and I have to rack it a second time and it will work just fine. I have stripped it and cleaned it very well and still the problem exists. Lube used is rem dry lube.

This seems to happen once in about every "mag" (5 shots).

Could it be a weak mag spring or a burr in there or...?

Anyone have any tips or tricks that may help me out? Would be very appreciated. Thanks guys.

I have no tips to help... my Grizzly 12.5 does the same thing. Sometimes I have to pump it 3 or 4 times before the next shell gets chambered.

I had that with my 8 1/2. I stripped the gun down and went around the mouth of the tube my finger. There was a burr sharp enough to cut your finger. Emery wouldn't do it, so some careful work with a half round file followed by emery solved it. Mine was so bad once the shells were in the tube you had to take the barrel nut off and the spring out to remove the shells. I went over the whole gun and de-burred everything. The Norinco 1911's are particularily bad for that, it seems they don't de-burr anything

Warranty issue, the retailer should take care of it in a heartbeat. It might be as simple as a burr somewhere in the feed system, but it might also be that the timing is off.

Quality control is quality control: Nobody is perfect, some are better than others.

Hey guys, i actually haven't done anything more to the rifle besides a magpie sga stock and forend. Had it out last time for about another 100 rounds. Been really slamming it hard, and it's been improving. Leads be to believe it was a break in issue. We'll see if it keeps improving with use.
