Feeding issues with S&B in CZ SP-01?

Has anyone else had failures to feed with Sellier & Bellot 124 gr FMJ in their CZ SP-01 Shadow? I tried this ammo for the first time today and had several rounds jam on the feed ramp. It looks like the S&B bullet is slightly longer than other FMJs that I've fired successfully (American Eagle, Blazer Brass, Wolf - all 124 gr with zero issues).
I also found that the slide wouldn't lock open on an empty mag with the S&B (also something I haven't seen with any other ammo) - maybe a lighter powder load?
Any insight would be appreciated.

Never had an issue with S&B....in my Glock or M&P, in fact, it's my ammo of choice. I find it hotter then most other factory stuff.

I've heard that the Shadow is a little more sensitive to overall lenght (OAL) of the round, than most 9mm.'s

Having said that, I've never had any issues shooting S&B through my Shadow.
 
Thanks for the feedback. I'll give it one more go, and if the Shadow continues to be picky I guess I'll have to find something else to feed the S&B to . . .
 
If your pistol won't feed ammunition that fits into the magazine, there is a problem with your pistol, not the ammunition. What happens when you slow-feed (cycle the pistol by hand, delaying return to battery) with the S&B ammo?

Failure to slide lock on the last round is *probably* more about insufficient magazine spring tension. It needs to be in balance with the recoil spring for everything to work as designed. If the slide is returning to battery faster than the mag spring can push up on the follower, then the slide catch will miss its window.

Have you cleaned your magazines lately (deposits inside the tube might be slowing the follower)? Have you changed the stock springs (magazine, recoil, and mainspring)?
 
Might be a bad batch? Looking at the test fire results for my SP-01 and my friend's Shadow, CZ uses S&B to test fire. I have yet to have any issues with S&B through my pistol.
 
My Shadow isn't fussy about ammo at all it'll eat anything no feeding issues and always holds open. My favourite is S&B I think it shoots a little cleaner.
 
Thanks everyone for the feedback. The pistol and mags are still fairly new (less than 300 rounds on the kit), and all factory springs are still in place. After cleaning from my last range session, I suspect it may be one particular mag that's at fault - it had noticeably more carbon fouling on the front edge than the others, although I don't know if a slightly larger front gap would cause feeding issues.
The S&B are only marginally longer than AEs, which cycle fine.
I'll try the slow cycle next time at the range, and see if different mags behave differently. Now that Tongarirohiker mentions it, I think that my test target was S&B as well.
 
Just back from the range, and the S&B seemed to feed fine today. When slow feeding by hand, the slide needed a slight extra push by hand to close into battery with both S&B and AE (but not with the shorter Wolf rounds). No problems feeding during normal firing with any ammo. Failure to slide lock was still an issue, with both S&B and AE, but didn't seem to be an issue with the Wolf. It may have just been certain mags - I didn't track them closely. Will try cleaning the mags and comparing spring strengths. 400 total rounds to date spread across 6 mags.
Troubleshooting is fun (especially when it involves sending bullets down range), but a bit frustrating when issues aren't consistent.
