It's small: 7mm long
I assume it's metric.
It requires a 2mm Allen key
The head is approx. 5mm wide.
It has a fine thread pitch.

I need 3 of them, but I don't know where to look

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

I was looking for a couple for the base on a switzers auction red dot sight mount. Have 2 that look like that , about a 6 size, flat head. will measure tomorrow what is the pitch?
They look like rib mount screws on a Hi Standard Victor, but don't think they are long enough for that. small hex wrench

My calipers gave up their ghost recently. Time for a trip to Rona for new calipers and a measurement. You guys were most helpful. I will let you know what I find out.

What is it that requires these screws? That may help in identifying the actual size.

if these were regular m3 (m3 x 0.5) then your outside diameter (second picture) should be about 3 mm.

i doubt tsc or rona would have anything metric smaller than m4 but it is worth a try.

pretty sure this is an m3

Isn't NC 4-40 also in this ballpark?

Hi all; they secure a metal plate that houses the firing pin assembly on a European break action shotgun.

I wanted to thank everybody for their help and comments. This forum can be a great place!

After measuring several times, I believe the screw I need is:

M3x0.5x7mm flat head (countersunk).
After calling around several places, and alot of Internet research, I found a place that carries them in both 6mm and 8mm lengths here in Hamilton (R.E Glover Ltd.). 7mm is rare and basically unobtainable. I will see if 6mm works or I will cut down the 8mm screws with my dremel. 8mm may also be fine.

I will post back the results.
