Felt wads or Bore Butter?

What's your preference when loading C&B revolvers?

Crisco or Crisco and beeswax over the ball in mine generally. Rather not have goop right on the powder

Myself I use the felt wads. They work well for me.

Yeah, been using Bore Butter but kinda messy and was thinking of going to the felt wads. Where do you buy them?

I use Wonder Wads.

I get mine from Track of the Wolf, sometimes Shooters Choice in Waterloo.

When I had a C&B revolver, I used a chain saw grease gun filled with crisco. Worked very well. Scrape off the excess with a flat stick.

go to princess auto get pack of hand hole cutters select tight fit for your cal...punch a few or a lot from felt 1/8 in thick ...get it from sewing store its cheap ,,,,put in jar with hot crisco then shake and pour out over piece of door screen or dollar store strainer slap on wax paper and seperate hot........keep cool in zip lock i do 3 to 4 hundred every so often and bobs your uncle...........

For the amount of BP shooting I do, which is a few times a year, Wonderwads are the best.

If I shot BP more, I would make my own felt wads.
