Feral pigs

We have them here in Manitoba. Some areas in a around Spruce Woods park have quite a few.
A hutterite colony with property not far north of the park are having problems with the pigs tearing up corn fields. There have been a few shot so far but the pigs seem to be mostly nocturnal making hunting them somewhat challenging. There are a few of us that that have an invite to clean up the pigs, but I am looking forward to the day they start harvesting that half section of corn. Could be very interesting!!!!
I've had them rooting up pasture and hay land that borders the park but rarely ever see one in the day light.

Interesting.
Just this last Sunday morning I'm darned certain that I saw a large roadkill pig in the ditch along the Trans Canada highway between Moosimin and Whitewood. It didn't look quite right to be a moose carcass: too small for a moose, and the profile laying there fit that of a large hog than a small moose.

Just laying there, no sign of a smashed up car, so it must have been hit by a semi with a moose bumper, laying I the north ditch of the westbound lanes.
