The CRD is really heavy, I wanted one first but they were back ordered, so in the mean time I bought the Griffin Armament blast shield. Just about a week ago the CRD's were back in stock so I ordered one, now I have both and the CRD feels twice as heavy as the Griffin blast shield.
The CRD does have a really nice locking mechanism, but it is very heavy
Also not to happy to see "made in Taiwan" on the CRD boxAmerican company out sourcing to Asia is not really my thing
Which one did you prefer?
I didn't even know CTCS got the GA Blast Shields... hummm.
Thanks for the review JohnnyP636 - I haven't even run the devices through their paces.
No problem I'll try to get some video when I get out to a range with them, currently my range is under renovations to be able to shoot rifle calibers. For now I have to get an invite to other ranges and drive pretty far to shoot my rifle.
Do you know from your store what is the hotter seller between the 2?
I might as well just get my pay check direct deposit to you guys LOL Ive been ordering something like once a week or 2

Love my CRD! So do the shooters standing beside me. Too heavy? Not on a SBR. This thing looks and operates awesome. Sends all concussion down range with no muzzle climb. A little on the pricey side but worth it IMO. Giant fireballs!
Not so much about the recoil as it is the concussion.Somewhere on here and ttag, they did a huge comparison between all the muzzle devices. I think the ferfans wasnt rated very good for reducing recoil and mitigating recoil
What's OAF?

It's really cool looking, that's for sure.
I like it, but I'd question whether I'd ever take the shield off. Ran a break on my SBR's before.
At my range, something about the acoustics . . . it's fun for the first few shots, then you get over the feeling of being punched in the back of the head repeatedly.
If you never take it off, you might as well get a Dlask or ATRS for half the price. Or even an S&J for a fraction the price and weight.
My S&J works great on my 12". Comps well, fireballs, and makes the end of your barrel look like a minigun.
