Posted this in the general firearms forum, but wasn't sure if I would get more hits on it here. I am looking for some advice from any of you who collect or are knowledgeable about German made drillings (dreillings?). I have a Ferlach drilling that my grandfather gave me. It is 16x16 ga over a 7x57. There is also a removable .22 mag insert in the right 16 ga barrel. The engraving is very ornate, everything, even the screw heads are engraved. The walnut stock also has a beautiful grain. I have heard varying amounts of how much this gun is worth, everything from $7000 to $15,000. I have seen one very similar selling for $7500 american, but it was not in as good shape and did not have the removable insert. it was also 8x57 on the bottom instead of 7x57. Here is a link to some pictures. Anyone who knows about these kind of guns, I'd love to hear what you think. I've had it for a while now, a recent thread got me thinking that I should try to find out what it's worth.

Perhaps Martini & Hagn could point you in the right direction. They have quite a bit of experience with these types of firearms.
